Curefit acquires US-based digital fitness company Onyx; to improve its at-home fitness product, expand global

California-based digital fitness company Onyx for an undisclosed amount.
In a statement, Curefit said the acquisition of Onyx is a step towards improving its computer vision technology for its
at-home fitness product, as well as in expanding its international business.
Speaking on the acquisition,
Curefit Co-founder Mukesh Bansal, said,
“The 20s will be the decade of digital health. Onyx will accelerate our efforts towards building a hardware-agnostic AI-led platform that offers guided content on physical and mental wellness, and nutrition all at the same place. Users will get a personalised experience with high-quality tech and human touch, and will be able to achieve their fitness goals from the comfort of their homes without spending on expensive hardware.” ....

Fitness startup Cure.fit has acquired California-based fitness company Onyx, to boost its at-home fitness offerings, as well as to bolster its international business, the Bengaluru-based company announced on Monday.
Onyx specialises in body tracking technology and personalisation of workout feedback. It provides highly accurate rep counts, form correction, and detailed performance tracking. Through this acquisition, Cure.fit will also get access to Onyx s computer vision technology, to help it improve its product offering.

Health and fitness startup Cure.fit on Monday announced it has acquired Onyx, a US-based fitness company that is building the worlds smartest digital training experience, for an undisclosed sum.
Onyx specialises in body tracking technology and personalisation of workout feedback and the acquisition would help Cure.fit improve its computer vision technology for its at-home fitness product and expanding its international business.
Onyx will accelerate our efforts towards building a hardware agnostic AI-led platform that offers guided content on physical & mental wellness and nutrition all at the same place, said Mukesh Bansal, Co-founder, Cure.fit.
Onyx was recently featured as App of the Day on Apple s App Store and has seen rapid user growth over the course of the last year. ....

Mukesh Bansal-promoted health and fitness firm Cure.fit acquired California-based Onyx, a firm that builds digital training experience around fitness and specialises in body-tracking technology and personalisation of workout feedback.
