Bharat Electronics update on operational performance for FY 2021


Bharat Electronics has achieved a turnover of about Rs 13,500 crore (provisional and unaudited) during FY 2020-21, against previous year s turnover of Rs.12,608 crore in spite of the challenges posed by COVID19 Pandemic & intense competition in business.
The company s order Book as on 1 April 2021 is around Rs.53,000 crore. In the year 2020-21, BEL secured significant orders worth Rs. 15,000 crore.
Some of the major orders acquired during the year are ICU Ventilators, Software Defined Radios & Communication equipment, Various types of Radars, Sonars, Torpedo Decoy Systems, Electronic
Warfare Systems, Networking & Encryption products, and smart cities etc.

BENGALURU, Feb 2: Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will showcase its state-of-the-art products and systems spanning every domain of its business during the Aero India 2021 beginning at Yelahanka air base in the outskirts of the City from tomorrow till February 5.
The products clustered as “Airborne & Space Application”, “Satellite and Space Application”, “Products and Systems for Self-Reliance (Atma Nirbhar Bharat)”, “High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence Systems”, “Land and Naval Products and Systems”, “Communication and Laser based Products”, “Non-Defence/Diversification and Outdoor Display Products”.
In addition to above, BEL will also showcase its R&D capabilities by launching/demonstrating some of its new products/technologies, according to a curtain raiser press release here on Tuesday. ....

India’s Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has exported nearly $48.6 million (INR 354.6 crore) worth of equipment during FY 2019-20.
The products exported includes Communication Systems, Coastal Surveillance System, Missile Systems, Radars, Electronic Warfare Systems, Electro Optic Systems and Electro Optic Fire Control Systems, Radar Finger Printing System, Naval Systems, Radar Warning Receivers and Electronic Voting Machines, Anandi Ramalingam, Director Marketing, BEL said ahead of Aero India 2021 scheduled to start on February 3.
Some of BEL’s customers are USA, UK, Russia, Italy, Brazil, Germany, France, Israel, Indonesia, Honduras, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Myanmar, Namibia, Seychelles and South Africa. ....

Strengthening coastal surveillance can prevent a repetition of terror attacks such as Mumbai 26/11
The establishment of 42 additional radar stations along the coast to strengthen coastal surveillance and prevent a repetition of terror attacks such as that on 26/11 (2008) in Mumbai is likely to be completed by November 2021, according to the Defence Ministry. The project is being implemented by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the Indian Coast Guard.
“Post implementation of Phase-I and Phase-II of the chain of Static Sensors, the Indian coastline will be under the surveillance of 104 radar stations being one of the largest of such network,” the Defence Ministry said in its annual report.
