WAUKESHA, WI Cammy Mantanona, owner of Flowers by Cammy at 2120 E. Moreland Blvd., encourages residents to patronize local florists this Valentine s Day.
Mantanona has owned her own floral and gift store in Waukesha for 14 years and noticed a decrease in the number of open floral stores. Florists are being hit hard by the pandemic because of canceled weddings, proms and even funerals.

LOS ANGELES, CA The federal government will step in for the first time to directly vaccinate residents in Los Angeles against the coronavirus at a Cal State Los Angeles site run by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the governor announced Wednesday.
The colaboration between the governor s Office of Emergency Services and the Biden administration represents a major shift in the fight against the coronavirus, which has largely centered on a patchwork effort by each county. The pilot project is part of President Joseph Biden s committement to establish 100 vaccination sites nationwide in 100 days.
