Logitech Raises Guidance Again as Profits Soar Amid Work-From-Home and Gaming Demand. The Stock Is Rising.

stock jumped early on Tuesday, as the computer peripherals maker raised its annual guidance for the third time after profits soared in the third quarter.
The Swiss-U.S. company, which also has a Nasdaq listing, has benefited from the Covid-19 pandemic-induced work-from-home trend as demand for its products including webcams, keyboards and gaming accessories has surged.
The momentum continued in the third quarter as Logitech reported sales of $1.67 billion, an 85% increase on the year-ago period, led by videoconferencing and gaming products. Operating income grew 248% to $448 million in the three months to Dec.31, while net profit excluding items rose 192% to $2.45 per share, smashing the FactSet consensus of $1.14 per sha ....

In November, Eaton Vance noted in its fiscal-fourth-quarter report that net outflows at Hexavest surged to $6.2 billion for the fiscal year ended Oct. 31, compared with $1.6 billion the previous year. late Thursday pre-announced fourth quarter financial results, as the German enterprise software giant continues an aggressive push to shift its business to the cloud.
“In a uniquely challenging environment, 2020 was a record year for cash flow in every single quarter and the full year,” CFO Luka Mucic said in a statement. “Our better-than-anticipated top line performance combined with our quick response on the cost side drove strong operating profit. SAP’s expedited shift to the cloud will drive long-term, sustainable growth while significantly increasing the resiliency and predictability of our business.” ....

Apple Stock Set for 'Really Big Year' With Strong iPhone, Mac Demand

stock received a thumbs up Friday from Loop Capital analyst Ananda Baruah, who repeated his Buy rating on the tech giant and boosted his target price to $155 from $131. The call comes ahead of the company’s upcoming December quarter earnings report, due after the close on Jan. 27.
Baruah writes in a research note that he expects a “really big year” for Apple (ticker: AAPL), and the signs should be clear with the upcoming earnings report. He thinks there could be material upside to Street numbers for both the near term and throughout calendar 2021, driven by strength in both iPhones and Macs. Baruah also thinks the company could see upside from healthy growth in iPad, AirPod, Watch, and Services. ....
