New Mexico health officials yesterday reported 126 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 187,040. Of those, the health department has designated 157,504 as recovered. Bernalillo County had 60 new cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 23 and Sandoval County with 10. Santa Fe County had one new case.
The state also announced three additional deaths; there have now been 3,811 fatalities.
As of yesterday, 136 people were hospitalized with COVID-19. Hospital leaders in a news conference yesterday reported low numbers of COVID-19 patient numbers: five at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, around the same at Lovelace and 41 at all of Presbyterian s facilities across the state. New Mexico health officials yesterday reported 259 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 186,156. The health department has designated 151,708 of those cases as recovered.
Bernalillo County had 80 new cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 38 and Sandoval County with 24. Santa Fe County had 10 new cases. There also were 10 new cases reported among New Mexico Corrections Department inmates at the Lea County Correctional Facility, which had 37 new cases yesterday and an outbreak of close to 200 cases last week; there have now been 726 COVID-19 cases at that facility.
The state also announced 16 additional deaths, skewing in the worst case scenario from Los Alamos National Laboratory s weekly modeling and forecasting report; there have now been 3,769 fatalities statewide. As of yesterday, 177 people were hospitalized with COVID-19. ....

Over the weekend, New Mexico health officials reported 747 new COVID-19 cases: 427 on Saturday and 320 on Sunday. Santa Fe County had 19 total new cases 16 on Saturday and three on Sunday.
The state also announced 25 additional deaths, with 11 on Saturday and 14 on Sunday. Those deaths included two from Santa Fe County: a man in his 60s with underlying conditions on Saturday, and a man in his 70s with underlying conditions on Sunday. There have now been 3,624 deaths statewide. As of yesterday, 242 people were hospitalized with COVID-19.

New Mexico health officials yesterday reported 411 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 181,739. The health department has designated 126,446 of those cases as recovered. Bernalillo County had 125 cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 96 and Sandoval County with 24. Santa Fe County had 19 new cases, 11 from the 87507 ZIP code, which ranked eighth in the state yesterday for ZIP codes with the most new cases.
The state also announced 18 additional deaths, including one from Santa Fe County: a woman in her 70s who was hospitalized and had underlying conditions. There have now been 131 deaths in Santa Fe County and 3,580 statewide. As of yesterday, 284 people were hospitalized with COVID-19. ....

New COVID-19 daily cases continue to climb this week approximately two weeks past the Christmas holiday as New Mexico health officials yesterday reported another 1,841. The state announced 936 new cases on Monday, 1,201 on Tuesday and 1,496 Wednesday. Yesterday s new cases brought the total number so far to 151,819, of which the health department has designated 74,235 as recovered.
Bernalillo County had 449 new cases, followed by San Juan County with 231 and Sandoval County with 143. Santa Fe County had 131 new cases, tying with Eddy County for the fourth highest number of new cases in the state. Santa Fe County s southside 87507 ZIP code remained on the top 10 ZIP codes with new cases, but decreased to seventh (it was third on Wednesday) with 51 of yesterday s cases. ....
