CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. A Senior Alert has been issued for a missing 80-year-old Caroline County man.
The Caroline County Sheriff s Office is looking for Arthur William Wick, Jr. He is described as an 80-year-old white man who is about 5-foot-5 and weighs around 190 pounds. He is bald and has blue eyes.
He was last seen on Wednesday at 8 a.m. on Market Street in Port Royal, Virginia. He may have been headed to a doctor s appointment in Fredericksburg. Arthur is driving a green Volvo XC90 with Virginia license plates reading 84274H. ....

CAROLINE Co., Va. - Virginia State Police issued a Senior Alert for an 80-year-old man who was reported missing from Caroline County Wednesday morning.
Officials say William Arthur Wick, Jr. was previously last seen on Market Street in Port Royal, Virginia, at 8 a.m. He was possibly headed to a doctor s appointment in Fredericksburg.
Officials said Wick was located safely on Thursday. Thank you to everyone who shared. ....

Suspects remain on loose after manhunt in Warwick


WARWICK - Two suspects in an ongoing firearms investigation remained on the loose Friday, after spurring a police chase from Delaware into Warwick - where scores of residents were placed on lockdown amid a manhunt that lasted approximately six hours and involved several departments and numerous officers, according to the Cecil County Sheriff s Office.
Dover (Del.) Police Department officials contacted the CCSO at 5:48 p.m. on Thursday and advised that law enforcement officers in that area were looking for two fugitives - Rahiem Jackson, 23; and Maya Hairston, 24, both of Dover - after they had fled from federal agents in that town earlier that day, reported CCSO Chief Deputy Gerald K. Widdoes. ....

Maryland Authorities Update "Shooting Suspects" Manhunt – First State Update


On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 5:48 p.m. the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Dover (DE) Police Department in reference to attempting to locate two fugitives who fled from police, according to Cecil County Sheriff Chief Deputy Gerald Widdoes. Both suspects were wanted in regards to a shooting incident and units were advised that the suspects were believed to be armed.
Units from the United States Marshal’s Service Task Force out of Dover attempted to arrest these individuals which resulted in the subjects fleeing in a vehicle driving down the sidewalk of a Dover business to avoid being pinned in by police. Units lost the suspect vehicle however it was spotted again a short while later and another pursuit ensued this time entering into Maryland where the suspects were able to evade police again. ....

NAACP calls on Caroline Sheriff's Office to denounce 'co-option' of 'thin blue line' flag

A flag that some believe is a symbol of support for police officers and others criticize as being adopted by white supremacists has flown over the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office for the past several months.
The Caroline County Branch NAACP has requested Sheriff Tony Lippa denounce the co-option of the flag by extremists. Lippa did agree to remove a “Blue Lives Matter” sign that was on the office’s grounds before it was replaced with a sign reminding citizens to “Support Those Who Protect You.”
Lippa’s decision to remove the “Blue Lives Matter” sign came after hearing from Black community members and meeting with the NAACP in January. ....
