Among the many things the coronavirus pandemic has affected, our work-life balance has also taken a hit. Most people are simultaneously working from home while doing their day-to-day activities, with many reporting they actually work more than they did before the pandemic struck in 2020, which leaves many feeling burnt out and stressed but also unwilling to return to the office. 
This has raised discussions over a four-day working week as a way to increase productivity while improving the mental health of workers. For Iceland, this isn’t something new. The country did two large-scale trials of shorter working hours from 2015 to 2019, with workers moving from 40-hour to a 35-hour week with no pay cut.  ....

SALT LAKE CITY — Governor Spencer Cox warned that Utahns who have not yet gotten the COVID-19 vaccine should be worried as the state s cases start to spike again and hospitals start to fill up.
If you’re unvaccinated, you should be worried this Fourth of July, the governor said, adding: The good news is, you can still get vaccinated before the Fourth of July.
Roughly 95% of all COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths are unvaccinated people. Gov. Cox expressed some frustration that people have not yet taken advantage of the free and widely available vaccines. ....

SALT LAKE CITY — Nearly two dozen cities across Utah are trying a new method of voting.
They have opted into a pilot project to try ranked choice voting for municipal elections.
This is a big deal. I think we have more cities doing ranked choice voting in Utah than the rest of the country combined, said Justin Lee, the state elections director for the Utah Lt. Governor s Office.
