They may be in Dublin for the Grammys, but Fontaines D.C. are making the most of the event and showcasing their own unique style.
Hosted by comedian and Daily Show host Trevor Noah, the 63rd Grammy Awards will feature performances from some of music s biggest names including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, HAIM, and Harry Styles.
As with most award ceremonies taking place during COVID-19, the night will be a hybrid of live and virtual performances, with nominees serving their looks from home and performers entering an audience-free Staples Center.

The Irish group have been nominated for Best Rock Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards but are not too thrilled to have been given the nod because it no longer gives them something to fight against and they try not to listen to compliments.
Guitarist Carlos O’Connell told the Times Saturday Review: “We get a Grammy nomination, people like us, blah, blah, blah.
“And for the first time in my life, family members were telling me how proud they were.
“Funnily enough, it made me feel worse than when they were telling me to quit and get a proper job. ....

Watch Fontaines D.C. perform 'A Hero's Death' in an Irish pub for 'The Tonight Show'

Fontaines filmed their latest
Tonight Show performance in The Auld Shillelagh pub in Stoke Newington, London, with the location being chosen due to the US talk show being among the many entertainment programmes which have pivoted to screening remote music performances during the coronavirus pandemic.

Fontaines’ performance saw frontman Grian Chatten appear to recite the lyrics to ‘A Hero’s Death’ from a karaoke machine as the other members of Fontaines played the song while spread across the length of The Auld Shillelagh.

Asked if any of the demos had actually been properly recorded, O’Connell said that the band had “a lot” of demo songs in the pipeline and that Fontaines are now deciding “if we release something else or if we tour with this album [‘A Hero’s Death’]… or if we tour with two albums when possible”. ....
