Insha’s grandparents, Mrs and Mr Abdul Gani Lone, take care of her and her brother.
In the recently declared Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) results of the twelfth standard, Insha Lone, a resident of Newa (Pulwama) secured 85 per cent marks. Seemingly this is unimpressive given the students getting 500/500 but what makes it special is that Insha managed this score while losing both her parents during the examinations.
“I am missing my father and mother,” Insha said while crying. She lost her “home” at the beginning of the examination and her parents died within a week when she was busy being examined for practical’s. ....

Parents in Kashmir have regrettably reduced their aspirations to certain variables and throughout ages want to test child against them. We can’t blame parents for it. It is the outcome of a capitalist society.

SRINAGAR: The posters and banners with Pakistani flags surfaced in Srinagar and other areas of the territory.
The posters were hoisted by APHC, Warseen-e-Shuhada-e-Jammu and Kashmir, and Jammu and Kashmir Students and Youth Forum. The Kashmiris staged rallies holding Pakistani flags and pictures of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. They were chanting slogans against India and in favour of right to self-determination.
The people of the Jammu and Kashmir took to the streets to mark the Solidarity Day being observed in Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the world. ....
