R500m allocated to Sol Plaatje to fill service delivery gaps

The Northern Cape provincial government allocated R500 million to the Sol Plaatje Municipality in aid of filling the incapacitating service delivery gaps.
According to the Executive Mayor, Patrick Mabilo - also known as the ghost - they are quite relieved that the provincial government has availed resources to them to rebuild the city. He says that they have developed a year-long master plan that entails attending to the damaged roads, faulty sewerage systems, skyrocketing electricity bills, as well as inconsistent water supply. He adds that a highly specialised committee has been tasked to oversee the spending of funds.   ....
