SINISTER graffiti calling for flags to be flown on Mid Ulster Council buildings has been daubed at its Cookstown offices.
Council chair Cathal Mallaghan condemned vandalism which saw Fly the Flags and two crude target symbols spray painted on the Co Tyrone building on Thursday night.
These are civic offices where we our residents come to register births, deaths, marriages, where we provide crucial public services, from building control to economic development and from where we also operate our local bin collection services, he said. ....

We take issue with an editorial in JAMA Internal Medicine that said frequent screening of younger women for breast cancer can do “more harm than good.” As physicians who diagnose and treat breast cancer at Weill Cornell Medicine, we seek to minimize the impact of this disease, which continues to kill about 44,000 American women a year.
We are especially concerned about the effect of such misinformation on the health of African-American women, who are more likely to receive a diagnosis of breast cancer at younger ages and are more likely to die from breast cancer at all ages. ....

Miller, in Sydney s south-west, is an urban art wonderland.
The quiet suburb, 10 minutes from the Liverpool CBD, is splashed with graffiti colourful and fun  script, and surreal murals have been painted everywhere, from shopping centre walls and garage roller doors to bridge underpasses.
Mr Ballesteros s artwork can be seen on schools and buildings in the area.

Police apologise for Edwards deaths
Jack and Jennifer Edwards were killed by their father after they returned home from school.

NSW Police have accepted responsibility for the deaths of two children who were shot and killed by their father in their West Pennant Hills home in 2018.
Jack and Jennifer Edwards were shot dead by 67-year-old John Edwards who then took his own life.
In a statement, Police Commissioner Mick Fuller apologised for the children s deaths.
The systems, processes and people let Jack, Jennifer and Olga Edwards down, for that I am sorry. We have to take responsibility for their deaths, he said. ....
