CHICAGO (WLS) The Justice Department has charged more than 300 people in the extremist takeover of the Capitol, but not all of the cases have been unsealed and made public. What we do know is 259 men and 41 women have been named in criminal cases, including five from Illinois facing federal charges.

2 alleged Proud Boys indictedTwo alleged Proud Boys members were indicted by a federal grand jury Jan. 29 on charges of conspiracy in connection with the Capitol attack, the Department of Justice said. It marks the first such conspiracy charges brought against alleged members of the alt-right group.
Dominic Pezzola, 43, of Rochester, New York, and William Pepe, 31, of Beacon, New York, face multiple charges in the indictment. They originally were charged by criminal complaint and arrested on Jan. 12 and Jan. 15, respectively.
Pezzola was in the Marines for seven years as an infantry assault man, the Marine Corps told ABC News.
