Mayorkas: Aliens Should Get Aid from DHS Program for American Victims

President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief is discarding a Trump-era program to aid the American victims of crime by illegal migrants and is replacing it with a program to help more illegal migrants get green cards from Americans.
“The Victim Of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office is terminated,” said the June 11 announcement from deputies for Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
Instead, officials are creating a “Victims Engagement and Services Line” (VESL) to offer:
…a more comprehensive and inclusive victim support system … to all victims regardless of immigration status of the victim or perpetrator. The expanded services provided through VESL will include guidance on available[getting] U- and T-visa]s[s]. ....

Four former homeland security chiefs have endorsed President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee for homeland security because he helped deliver work permits to roughly 800,000 illegal migrants.
“We each know [nominee Alejandro] Mayorkas as a man of character, integrity, experience and compassion … he helped create and administer the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA] program,” said the January 12
