A tenant chief says landlords can post anything they like on blacklists they share, yet there was no recourse for people who rented properties against such lists.

Scottish Labour calls on government to do more to protect tenants from eviction

SCOTTISH Labour has called on the Scottish government to revisit its private rented tenancy regime and to do more to protect tenants from being evicted by landlords on unfair grounds.

At present, there are concerns the standard of proof for evictions to be granted remains too low, meaning renters could be left at risk of unfair removal.
Ms McNeill has said more must be done to ensure that landlords provide proper evidence for their decision to terminate a tenancy, which could be taken from the emergency measures in place during the pandemic.  ....
