The State of Texas will conduct a special election on Saturday, May 1, 2021, to fill a vacancy for the 6
th Congressional district, which includes parts of Ellis and Navarro counties and a portion of Tarrant County. The registration deadline was on April 1 and the ballot request deadline passed on April 20. Voters who already received their absentee ballot must return it by MAIL or FAX (fax only if located in a hostile fire zone) and postmark by 7PM, May 1, 2021. Deadline to request absentee ballots for Lincoln County elections is March 30

Voters in Lincoln County who want to have absentee ballots mailed to them for any of the following elections being held on April 6 should apply now, Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Melissa Stambaugh said.
Board of education general elections for:
• Meeker School District I-95
• City of Prague - continuation of sales tax
Although the county election board can accept applications for absentee ballots until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, Stambaugh urged voters who want to vote by absentee ballot to apply early.
Absentee ballot application forms are available at the county election board office, located in the courthouse at 811 Manvel Avenue, Suite 15, in Chandler. An online version of the form can be filled out and submitted electronically at: www.elections.ok.gov. A print form can also be downloaded at that address. ....

Voter registration deadline approaches
Friday, March 12 will be the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 6 Board of Education and Municipality General Election, Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary Jeannie Stover said.
Stover said that persons who are United States citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 17 ½ years old are eligible to apply for voter registration. However, you must be at least 18 years old to vote.
Applications must be received by the county election board or postmarked no later than midnight, March 12. Applications postmarked after that time will be accepted, but will not be processed until after the April 6 election. ....

Mar. 7 President Joe Biden on Sunday signed an executive order aimed at expanding voting access marking the anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama.
The order, which Biden discussed at the Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King Unity Breakfast, will work to expand access to voter registration and information, aim to increase access to voting and analyze barriers to voting, among other things, according to a news release from the White House.
On March 7, 1965, known as Bloody Sunday, civil rights activists organized a march for voting rights from Selma to Montgomery. The group of about 600 people, led by the late Rep. John Lewis, were met by state troopers, who beat and tear-gassed protesters. ....
