Museum names new education and community engagement manager

BRATTLEBORO — Kirsten Swartz is the new manager of education and community engagement programs at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center.
“This is my dream job,” Swartz said. “I have a lot of ideas, and I’m really excited to be able to apply all the things I’ve been thinking and learning about.”
The museum chose Swartz following an extensive search that yielded applications from across the country. Swartz holds a master’s degree in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program and worked previously at Cambridge Arts, Tower Hill Botanic Garden and Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute. ....

Cambridge Arts Theatre receives £459k from recovery fund

Cambridge Arts Theatre has been awarded money from the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund.

Creatives at Cambridge Arts Theatre are preparing for the venue s reopening after receiving a recovery grant of nearly £460,000.
Staff at the venue in St Edward s Passage have welcomed a further grant of £459,907 from the government’s £1.57billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF).
In October 2020, Cambridge Arts Theatre was awarded £985,000 as part of the CRF’s first tranche, which secured the theatre’s immediate future.

Cambridge Arts Theatre has been awarded money as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF).

Venues and organisations in Royston and across Cambridgeshire have received cash in the second round of awards from the government s £1.57billion Culture Recovery Fund.
Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden announced on Good Friday details of 2,700 organisations across the country being offered nearly £400 million in grants and loans to help them reopen and recover, on top of the £1billion that has already been allocated in the first round.
Royston Picture Palace and Saffron Screen, Cambridge Junction and Cambridge Arts Theatre Trust Ltd are among those benefiting in the East of England. ....
