City wants to hold Amaazz accountable for incomplete project
The Daily Jeffersonian
The city administration is considering revoking the bond for the Amaazz Construction company from New Albany for failing to meet the December 4, 2020, deadline to complete the Clark Street project.
This comes on the heals of the county commissioners announcement last week that they too are considering revoking a bond for Amaazz for not meeting a completion deadline for the Glass Avenue project in Byesville.

Historical designation delays demolition of Pleasant City storefront
The Daily Jeffersonian
The Guernsey County Land Bank on Wednesday awarded a contract to Lehotay Excavating for demolition of a two-story structure at the corner of Clark Street and Beatty Avenue in Cambridge.
The nearly three-year project to acquire and raze the former residence is expected to be completed in the next month after board member Kim Conrath confirmed the deed is in the name of the land bank.
I never thought I would see the day, said Cambridge Mayor Tom Orr.
The demolition contact awarded to Lehotay totals $21,500. It was the lone bid submitted for the project. ....
