Arthur Zwane would have done better, why was Castro, Ngezana not used in the first half? LakeyMsibi (@LakeyMsibi) July 17, 2021 I m going to say this now. Bringing Baxter in to take charge for the final was a mistake. A BIG mistake by Kaizer Chiefs. #TotalEnergiesCAFCLFinal#Amakhosi4Life Amakhosi4LIVE (@amakhosi4live) July 17, 2021 Kaizer Chiefs should be proud of their journey to the CAFCL final. Prior to Al Ahly winning the title last year, they lost back-to-back finals in 2017 and 2018. Kaizer Chiefs fan protest to go ahead with ‘legal and courteous’ proceeding 13 May 2021 - 14:29 By Marc Strydom Kaizer Chiefs supporters are expected to turn up for the march. Image: Lefty Shivambu/Gallo Images/Getty Images The organisers of Friday’s Kaizer Chiefs supporters’ protest march to the Soweto giants’ headquarters at Naturena have promised a “legal and courteous” proceeding. The organisers clarified that they have received permission from Chiefs and the relevant authorities‚ including the Johannesburg metro police (JMPD), for the march to Amakhosi’s Village to hand over a memorandum of their grievances. “Kaizer Chiefs Football Club supporters have realised their constitutional right as stipulated in section 17 of the constitution . which states that ‘everyone has the right‚ peacefully and unarmed‚ to assemble‚ to demonstrate‚ to picket and to present petitions’‚ the organisers said in a statement on Wednesday.
Kaizer Chiefs defender Philani Zulu watched as the custom-built Kentucky Rounder arrived at Naturena for the iconic reveal of a car built to represent everything Amakhosi as part of Vodacom’s Sisonke Siya Winna campaign. And he knew immediately that he would never be able to look at another Kentucky Rounder ever again. “It feels like every other Kentucky Rounder ever produced should’ve looked exactly like this one,” he said as he joined other leading players and club officials for the exclusive reveal of the finished product. It was the end of a journey that began several months ago with Vodacom’s brief to the LA Customs workshop in Paarl to search the countryside for the perfect Toyota Twincam GLi Sprinter that could be completely rebuilt in the iconic colours and style of Kaizer Chiefs and which would eventually be won by one of their lucky fans.
