Six of the United States’ biggest banks signaled support for President Joe Biden’s massive amnesty plan that would put roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens on a path to securing American citizenship while doubling legal immigration levels.
During a Senate Banking Committee hearing, the chief executives of Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley suggested that Biden’s amnesty plan “would ultimately help us build a more robust, stronger economy” in a line of questioning from Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ).
Menendez, in a post online, touted Wall Street’s support for the Biden amnesty plan: ....

Biden to Welcome DACA Illegal Aliens to White House for Amnesty Push

13 May 2021
President Joe Biden will welcome illegal aliens eligible and enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to the White House on Friday to make a legislative push for a massive amnesty plan.
The White House confirmed that Biden will meet with six DACA illegal aliens in the Oval Office to lobby Congress to pass a series of amnesty bills that would provide most of the roughly 11 million to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States with green cards and, eventually, American citizenship.
NBC News reported:
The individuals Biden will meet Friday underscore the administration’s argument for enshrining that executive action into law, highlighting essential workers in fields like education, agriculture and health care. ....

Bush's Amnesty Coalition: Cut Illegal Migration by Raising Legal Migration

11 May 2021
The federal government can reduce illegal migration by raising legal immigration, says a new pro-amnesty coalition of establishment leaders, including George W. Bush and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“We can end the cycle of compromising situations at the southern border by ensuring that migrants have appropriate and accessible legal channels to migrate,” the May 11 announcement by the group says.
The legal-ends-illegal claim “is completely absurd unless the position is that there should be unlimited immigration,” Rob Law, the director of regulatory affairs and policy for the Center for Immigration Studies, told Breitbart News on Tuesday.
“There’s no reasonable level of capped immigration that could be set that would satisfy all the [worldwide] demand” for U.S. jobs by would-be-migrants, he said. ....

With Gay Adoption Decision, Will the Supreme Court Erode the Regulatory State?
On the surface,
Fulton v. Philadelphia poses a question about religious conscience but its proponents hope it will enable conservatives to pick and choose which laws they have to follow.

Fulton v. Philadelphia poses a question about religious conscience but its proponents hope it will enable conservatives to pick and choose which laws they have to follow.
LGBTQ+ Americans appear to owe a lot to the Supreme Court lately. Despite fifty years of right-wing legal training, conservative foundation building, and huge influxes of donor cash, the federal judiciary has for the past two decades rather consistently delivered on queer rights. From same sex marriage to Title VII employment protection rights even the right to be intimate without the police knocking at the bedroom door the Court has found cause to side with gay and ....
