The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe was first produced in Venice, California, but production soon moved to Carrozzeria Gransport in Modena, Italy, where Peter Brock kept a close eye on each build. Legend has it that the car took only 90 days to design. The Daytona Coupe was built specifically to take the fight to Italian rivals such as the Ferrari 250 GTO and helped Shelby American become the first American manufacturer to win an FIA international Championship for the GT class in 1965. ....
