Kevin Michael England passed away on April 24th, 2021 at the age of 60 in Bradenton, FL after his battle with COPD and CHF. He leaves behind three children, Dustin (32), Lindsay (29), and Zach (26), their mother (and close friend of his) Su, and two loving dogs (Mick and Bo).
Born in Wheeling, WV on 2/27/1961 to late Terry and Kathryn England, Kevin has three siblings, Tim, Mary Ann, and Amy. Kevin loved West Virginia and was an avid Mountaineers fan.
Kevin was always active and was a talented manual laborer, with his niche being in air conditioning for new and existing construction. He was known for his witty and sarcastic sense of humor, his dedicated and relentless work ethic, and his giving heart towards others. He was a great father and friend, and often reminded everyone how proud he was of his children. He loved dogs, rock music, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his children, family, and friends. ....

The meerkats Mosegi and Kimbia are one of the most popular species with the children, so they definitely noticed when we closed and the zoo became quiet,’ says Jamie Baker, zookeeper at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo. ‘The otters, too. Usually, we open at 10 o’clock. They get fed shortly after, so they run to the front of their enclosure and look for people coming towards them. Over time, they realised no one was coming, so they stopped bothering. The donkeys and pigs were all waiting at the gate in the morning, because people would usually come past and pat them on the head. Our African grey parrots, Barry and Becky, are our oldest animals – they’re 22 years old – and chatting to visitors is something they’ve enjoyed all their lives. Usually, they don’t shut up… they don’t speak at all now. We think they miss that interaction, so we go and play them music, just ....

It s been a year of unprecedented turmoil at London Zoo, which has had to close to the public for the first time since World War Two.
Before Covid-19, the famous tourist attraction would often be bustling with visitors but during what is the third national lockdown, the zoo currently hosts very few humans.
The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) looks after 20,000 animals across two sites, the main one in Regent s Park and at Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire. ....

Nearly a year after his retirement, it looks like they have chosen a permanent replacement for McCausland.
According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, longtime Maine news reporter and anchor Shannon Moss will step into the role.
Moss seems like the perfect replacement for McCausland. Not only is she well known by a large part of the Maine population, it also allows her to continue to inform the public and to help keep the people of Maine safe.
