〔記者彭琬馨／台北報導〕由立法院人權促進會與台灣國會維吾爾連線共同舉辦的首場「維吾爾議題國際公聽會」將在本週五晚間10點以線上方式舉辦；會中邀請祖慕萊特·達吾特與奧馬爾·貝卡力兩位集中營倖存者現身說法，盼藉此喚起社會對維吾爾議題的重視；美國參議員魯比歐（Marco Rubio）、眾議員裴利（Scott Perry）也將透過線上參與力表支持。
根據本報取得的會議議程，包含立法院長游錫堃、立法院人權促進會會長王定宇、副會長賴香伶、王婉諭、陳柏惟、林昶佐、秘書長范雲與立法院人權促進會執行副祕吾爾開希等人都規劃出席；另除兩位集中營倖存者外，包含Marco Pespinti（研究機構《寒冬》Bitter Winter創辦人）、Adrian Zenz（維吾爾議題研究學者）、Ursula Gaultier（記者，曾多次報導新疆西藏真相）等人也將以見證人方式線上參與。

知情人士透露，歐洲議會近期正針對香港議題有所關切，並持續關注中國人權議題，立法院人權促進會與台灣國會維吾爾連線盼能藉此公聽會，讓外界了解中國在新疆、西藏等地進行的人權迫害的情形，並盼進而促成台灣成為亞洲首個發出譴責中國人權的國會。
立院在去年11月成立人權促進會，台灣國會維吾爾連線則成立於今年4月，此公聽會為首次舉辦的大型活動。
