Trinidad man facing charges in connection with Jan. 6 Capitol riot
TRINIDAD, Colo. (KRDO) A man from Trinidad is facing multiple federal charges in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, and pictures released by the US Department of Justice appear to show him engaging with and intimidating Capitol Police officers inside the building.
According to a complaint obtained by KRDO this week, Jacob Travis Clark of Trinidad is accused of entering the US Capitol building along with other protestors allegedly attempting to disrupt Congress as it certified votes from the 2020 presidential election. Clark is among numerous Coloradans who have been arrested in connection with the insurrection. ....

Syracuse, NY ― A Syracuse man was arrested Wednesday, accused of being one of the first rioters who broke through police lines during the fatal storming of the U.S. Capitol in January.
Matthew Greene, of Burns Avenue in Eastwood, is identified as a member of the “Proud Boys,” a nationwide far-right extremist group that was among those accused of leading the assault that turned deadly Jan. 6.
A federal indictment accuses him of conspiring with others to “stop, delay, or hinder” Congress’s certification of the Electoral College vote. ....

Syracuse Man Arrested for Alleged Role in January 6 Capitol Riot


The United States Department of Justice has handed down several indictments connected with the violent protest that occurred on January 6th, 2021 in Washington D.C. Among those arrested, was a Syracuse resident and self-proclaimed member of the Proud Boys.
The FBI Office out of Albany announced the arrest of 33-year-old Matthew Greene on several charges related to the riot that occurred on the day of the certification of the 2020 Presidential Election. Two other New York State residents were arrested including 43-year-old Dominick Pezzola of Rochester, New York and 31-year-old William Pepe of Beacon, New York. According to the indictment,
At 12:53 p.m., a group of people forcibly breached the barriers at the pedestrian entrance. A crowd followed, including Pezzola, Pepe and Greene. Members of the crowd charged past the trampled police barriers. ....

Indictment unsealed against Buffalo man charged in Jan. 6 Capitol riot


A federal indictment against 35-year-old Thomas Sibick was unsealed Friday, revealing more charges against him in connection with the violent invasion of the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
Sibick had already been charged with counts in relation to the January 6 uprising. Prosecutors accuse him of being part of a group that overpowered and assaulted District of Columbia Metropolitian Police Officer Michael Fanone. Sibick insists he was trying to assist the officer, but later turned in Fanone s badge to authorities, after allegedly burying it in the backyard of his Buffalo area home.
