TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â Farm Share is distributing food to food-insecure Floridians at three locations in the Tallahassee area this week.
Recipients will receive fresh produce and non-perishable canned goods. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, distributions are drive-thru only to minimize contact and to help ensure the safety of all parties, and attendees must wear a mask
and arrive in a vehicle with a trunk or cargo bed.

The Florida police departments, county sheriff offices use body cameras

More than a dozen Florida police departments and a handful of county sheriff offices have purchased and rolled out body cameras over roughly the past year.
Added to the agencies that already used body cameras, the state is now nearly evenly split between law enforcement agencies who outfit their officers with body cameras and those that don’t, with a razor thin margin in favor of those that use the equipment.
At the end of 2020, there were 115 police departments that used body cameras versus 117 that didn’t, according to Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s reports. Since the end of the year, at least two police forces – the cities of Lake Wales and Sarasota – have taken steps to implement them, flipping the balance 117-115 in favor of cameras. Most of the cities in Polk Auburndale, Bartow, Davenport, Haines City, Lake Alfred, Lake Hamilton, Lakeland and Winter Haven haven t outfitted their officers. ....
