YOUNG carers have been handed certificates by the Mayor of Barrow after completing a training course. On Tuesday, Cllr Helen Wall, presented three young carers with the certificates at an event organised by Furness Carers as part their Carers Week 2021. Fun Day for Young Carers was held at Craven Park and gave the children a chance to enjoy themselves with Barrow Raiders Community Foundation Trust. After enjoying games of cricket and practicing their archery, Cllr Wall then awarded the three young carers that completed their Carer Champion Training. Cllr Wall, who is a board member at Furness Carers, said: It was a wonderful day. ....
