Mental health support group Reach to Speak Out clothes launch

A MENTAL health support group, which has hundreds of members despite only starting last December, is about to launch its own clothing range.
When Amiee Kujawa (McClintock) came up with the idea for the group, her vision was to provide a safe space on Facebook where members could share experiences and ask questions about mental health.
The group experienced an instant and steady surge in interest and although Amiee s priority is helping people in Northwich, it has members from several countries around the world, including the United States, Canada and Australia.
Along with offering people online help and support, Reach to Speak Out is about to launch its own clothing line, with t-shirts and hoodies emblazoned with logos to help tackle the stigma around mental health. ....

Chance to apply for share of £82k Cheshire West funding pot | Chester and District Standard

CHESHIRE West causes are receiving a much-needed share from an £82k funding pot.
The huge sum was raised through a crowdfunding effort launched by Cheshire West and Chester Council, in aid of community initiatives.
CWaC kickstarted the crowdfunding effort on Spacehive with a £50,000 contribution and the Westminster Foundation added a further £25,000 soon after. Other organisations, such as the Hoppy Trust, individuals and councillors have also joined the collective effort to support local charities and community groups.
This follows the Community Response Fund worth £500,000 that was launched towards the start of the pandemic and has now been distributed in full.
Grants will focus on key priorities like food poverty, isolation and befriending services, mental health support, older people’s services, support for children and young people and financial hardship. ....
