Marc Short speaks to students Wednesday afternoon in the Liberty School of Law’s Supreme Courtroom.
Former Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence Marc Short spoke at the Liberty University School of Law’s final Professionalism Event of the semester on Wednesday, imploring Liberty Law and government students to model humility and servant leadership in their daily lives and future careers.
“We need good people who are serving in our country in these (leadership) roles,” he said. “Having a servant’s heart in those roles is just as essentially important. Knowing why you are there and knowing that you are serving the American people opposed to serving your own interest is a really important attitude to maintain.” ....

Helms School of Government to enter five Moot Court teams into next week's National Tournament » Liberty News

Liberty University junior Law and Policy student Erin Cooper wanted to reach Moot Court Nationals at least once before graduating.
Next week, she will have her shot.
“Going to Nationals means a lot,” she said. “It’s proof of the hard work that we put in and the strength that, even throughout COVID-19, we were still able to do this.”
During November, teams from Liberty’s Helms School of Government participated in four regional tournaments held virtually: the Liberty University Regional Tournament, the Regent University Regional Tournament, the Tommies Regional Tournament, and the Fitchburg Regional Tournament. Because of their placement in these regional events, five of Liberty’s eight teams will be among the 100 teams competing virtually for the Moot Court National Title on Jan. 22-24. ....
