Many people know that there are two parties in the United States, the Democratic and the Republican parties, and they are both fighting for power. The symbol of the former is a donkey; the latter, an elephant. And so it is but not exactly. In the United States, attempts have been made to change this system on more than one occasion.
At the end of the 19th century, the Populist Party challenged the system when it was founded by those who opposed monopolies and the subordination of democracy to financial and industrial capital. They represented the interests of farmers, and demanded taxation of wealth, creation of state granaries and regulation of agricultural supplies and prices, and they campaigned under a slogan of fighting against elite domination. ....

Georgia Officials Will Conduct Limited Signature Match Audit in Cobb County
The Georgia Secretary of State’s Office announced that an audit of voter signatures on absentee ballot envelopes will be conducted in Cobb County.
“Starting immediately, we are pulling all of our resources together with GBI [Georgia Bureau of Investigation], to conduct a signature match audit in Cobb County. Vote privacy is top of mind and we will never release how someone voted. We are only reviewing the signatures on the envelope,” Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger said at a Monday briefing.
“We recently received a report that Cobb County may not have conducted a proper signature match in June, and we will look into that claim. We hope to release the findings of this audit two weeks from today.” ....

Kanye West burst into the 2020 campaign picture on July 4, with a tweet declaring his candidacy for president. But even though he qualified for the ballot in a dozen states, he failed to make any discernible impact on the race, garnering just 0.04% of votes nationally.
West’s 66,636 total votes, according to an NBC News tally on Dec 10, placed him behind six other candidates, including President-Elect Joe Biden, incumbent president Donald Trump, Libertarian Jo Jorgensen (1.2% total vote), the Green Party’s Howie Hawkins (0.3%), Alliance Party candidate Rocky De La Fuente (0.1%), and Party for Socialism and Liberation candidate Gloria La Riva (0.1%). ....
