For more than a year, many theaters from coast-to-coast have stood empty. That includes those within Portland’5 Centers for the Arts including Keller Auditorium. Frozen was the last production to shine there, before its run was cut short in March 2020. Everything else, soon followed. ....

Pamplin Media Group - Oregon venues plead with Gov. Brown for reopening help

April 20 2021
Art and entertainment facilities across the state are at risk of closing forever without relaxed COVID-19 restrictions.

Owners and operators increasingly believe venues should be allowed to open at full capacity with precautions shortly after all state residents 16 and over have the opportunity to be fully vaccinated, provided that hospitalizations remain relatively low. ....

Bottom of the Hill first made a name for itself in the 1990s, booking now-famous indie bands such as The White Stripes and Arcade Fire before they got big. Here s how the venue is doing in 2021.Leslie Hampton
In late February of 2020, we checked in with Bottom of the Hill for a story about how the legendary 1990s indie rock venue was faring in a changing San Francisco. There were growing pains, of course, but the overall answer seemed to be “just fine.” The owners of the Potrero Hill club were preparing for a week of Noise Pop Festival shows and griping about new techie neighbors snatching up their parking usual San Francisco stuff. ....
