Sevierville's 225 Challenge gets people moving


SEVIERVILLE
In celebration of the city’s 225th anniversary, the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents and visitors to log 225 miles of outdoor activity over the next five years.
“We created the 225 Challenge in late 2020 to celebrate 225 years since Sevierville’s founding in 1795,” said Amanda Marr, Sevierville Chamber of Commerce marketing director. “Now that warm weather is just around the corner, we’re really beginning to promote it.”
The challenge isn’t limited to walking the city’s greenways, though there are several miles of paved walkways available in Sevierville. They also encourage people to log their distance in other activities like hiking, biking or even kayaking. ....
