HAIKOU, May 5 (Xinhua) The first China International Consumer Products Expo, to be held from May 7 to 10 in south China s Hainan Province, will inject new impetus into the building of the island province into an international tourism consumption center.
The four-day expo, which focuses on high-end consumer products, has attracted the participation of more than 1,300 brands from 69 countries and regions.
Covering 80,000 square meters, including 60,000 square meters of international exhibition space featuring products including jewelry, food and health products from leading brands, the expo is expected to attract more than 20,000 buyers and over 200,000 visitors. ....

Brands adopting the no-cost Plastic IQ digital planning tool from The Recycling Partnership and SystemIQ include Colgate-Palmolive, Kellogg’s, Mondelēz, Nestlé USA, Unilever, and Walmart.
There’s power in numbers as well as in data, which is part of the reason the launch of the Plastic IQ digital tool promises to help US companies develop effective plastic packaging waste reduction strategies.
Launched May 5 by The Recycling Partnership and SystemIQ and created with  support from Walmart, Plastic IQ is a forward-looking, data-based planning tool aligned with industry best practices. The tool allows companies to prioritize actions to address plastic packaging waste, meet their sustainability goals, and ultimately accelerate progress toward a circular economy. ....

Johnson & Johnson moves U.S. baby brands to Southfield-based Doner in search of rebound

Johnson & Johnson has moved its Johnson’s Baby and Aveeno Baby U.S. creative accounts to MDC Partners’ Doner following a review, taking effect this quarter, the company confirmed.
The move brings new caretakers to a brand with an image problem and a recent history of being passed around to various agencies.
People familiar with the matter said Stagwell Group’s Code and Theory will work alongside Southfield-based Doner on the account – which J&J didn’t confirm. Work on the account will be based out of Doner s headquarters in Southfield
The MDC and Stagwell agencies previously have worked jointly on a bigger piece of J&J business won in late 2019 – Tylenol, Listerine and Zyrtec. Doner and Code and Theory declined to comment. MDC and Stagwell later agreed to merge last year in a deal expected to close this quarter. ....

Magnit joins other retailers in healthy eating initiative

Russian supermarket Magnit is teaming up with other retailers to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles, including increasing the availability of food low in sugar, salt, and fat.
Magnit is one of Russia s biggest retailers
Magnit PJSC, one of Russia’s leading retailers, and eight of the largest international food retailers are joining forces to launch the ‘United for a Healthier Future’ Initiative, in a move was announced by Jan Dunning, President and CEO of Magnit.
The Initiative will be co-chaired by Magnit, Nestlé, and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, with Danone, Mars Wrigley, PepsiCo, L’Oréal, Mars Petcare, and Procter & Gamble joining as regular members. Magnit says other manufacturers will also be able to join the Initiative. ....
