Apr. 15 Another COVID-related death has been reported in Whatcom County along with 27 new reported confirmed cases, according to the Washington State Department of Health s coronavirus dashboard Wednesday, April 14.
Overall, Whatcom County has seen 7,605 confirmed cases and 89 related deaths during the pandemic, according to state data as of 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 13. An additional 276 probable cases up two from Tuesday s report have been reported in Whatcom County during the pandemic, resulting from positive antigen tests not confirmed by a molecular test. ....

Feb. 11 (UPI) The United States saw a repeat performance on Wednesday of the overall COVID-19 picture fewer-than-normal cases and a spike in coronavirus deaths, according to updated data.
The new data from Johns Hopkins University Thursday shows there were about 94,700 new cases nationwide, the fourth straight day under 100,000.

The last time the United States saw such a streak was the end of October, before the largest wave of the COVID-19 took hold for almost three months. ....

Feb. 4 Another Whatcom County resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died and the number of confirmed cases in the county climbed by 105, the Washington State Department of Health s dashboard reported on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Overall, Whatcom County has seen 5,735 confirmed cases and 66 related deaths during the pandemic, according to state data as of 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, meaning 1.1% of all COVID cases in Whatcom County have been linked to a death.
Forty-four additional probable cases an increase of 10 from Tuesday s report have been reported in Whatcom County during the pandemic, resulting from positive antigen tests not confirmed by a molecular test. ....

Jan. 14 A day after its case count took a step back, Whatcom County s number of confirmed COVID-19 diagnoses surged forward with 109 new positive tests reported on the Washington State Department of Health dashboard Wednesday, Jan. 13. Though the state reported no new related deaths Wednesday, the Lummi Nation said that its community saw its first death that could be linked to coronavirus.
Overall, Whatcom County has seen 4,452 confirmed cases and 56 related deaths during the pandemic, according to state data as of 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12. That means that 1.3% of the Whatcom residents who have tested positive for COVID during the pandemic have died. ....

Jan. 7 One more Whatcom County resident s death has been linked to COVID-19, according to the Washington State Department of Health on Wednesday, Jan. 6, as the county saw its number of confirmed cases grow by 26.
Overall, Whatcom County has seen 3,762 confirmed cases and 56 related deaths during the pandemic, according to state data as of 11:59 p.m. Tuesday. That means that 1.5% of the Whatcom residents who have tested positive for COVID during the pandemic have died.
Whatcom also saw one new probable case of COVID-19 in Wednesday s release of data, meaning the county now has 11 probable cases during the pandemic resulting from positive antigen tests, but those cases were not confirmed by a molecular test. ....
