Middlesex Health begins dispensing COVID-19 vaccine Press Staff FacebookTwitterEmail MIDDLETOWN The first 12 Middlesex Health employees received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday. This small group was comprised of several front-line workers, including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and pharmacists, and helped the health system prepare for the opening of its vaccine clinic Thursday, according to a press release. The clinic will be located at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, and open to both Middlesex Health employees and eligible health care personnel in the community. Middlesex was one of the first health system’s in the country to receive a shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine Monday, the release said.
