Adekunke (Ade) Osibogun is a lawyer who is studying for a PhD in Constitutional Law at the university, where he obtained his law degree. The former Student Union president, who lives with his family in Buckingham, was elected for the Buckingham East ward, along with councillors Warren Whyte and Howard Mordue. Economics involves the study of incentives, motivations and information flows which are invisible. Likewise, self-seeking ministers and bureaucrats often work invisibly (and insidiously) against the public interest - more so in socialist countries like India where governments take on many unnecessary functions. On the other hand, self-interested businesses – through their competition for our custom – end up fostering the public interest.
