JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Despite extremely low temperatures, people were sledding down the hills at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
People brought real sleds and make-shift sleds to glide down the hills, all while spending time with friends and loved ones.
“It’s been nice to do a little sledding and have a little fun with my grandson,” said Marshall Poole, who likes to come to the church whenever it snows.
Poole was surprised the air was warmer than what he expected. ....

Health restrictions aimed at stopping the spread of the coronavirus pandemic have not made it easy for those preparing for baptism.
Such was the case of 33-year-old Ayoub (not his real name) who became a catechumen last year that is, someone preparing to receive the Christian Rites of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) in the Catholic Church.
He considered the first COVID-19 lockdown in the rhythm of Easter as a grace to deepen (his) faith .
Ayoub enthusiastically recalls this period of crossing the desert and then arriving at resurrection . ....
