They’ve made similar claims on numerous other multi-million-pound developments, and it was clear from the moment they won their appeal against Camden’s original refusal of this particular project that they were determined to dismantle as many as possible of the conditions of their planning permission as might minimise their vast profits. ....
The Stockton R-I school board met in regular session on Wednesday, Dec. 16, with a full agenda on their plate. During R-I superintendent Doug Crawfordâs report, he said the district is using a modified quarantine model for COVID-19. Crawford added that the Centers for Disease Control released a 10-day quarantine guidance due to COVID-19 exposure; however, Cedar County has not yet had a meeting to decide on following this guidance yet, so the district is still following the 14-day quarantine guidance. âBeyond that, nothing has really changed,â Crawford said. The board then went on to review evaluation of programs with written reports offered by science, social studies, mathematics and English-Language Arts. ....
CANTON Applicants for service-sector jobs expect to earn more than the current national minimum wage, while realizing they ll be paid less than the proposed minimum wage of $15 per hour that some are pursuing. The locally based Job-Applications.com website surveyed more than 1,800 job-seekers from around the country over the past year and asked the hourly wage they expect to earn. Responses were collected from mid-2019 through the end of November. The national average wage expected came to $11.27 per hour, while applicants said they would take a job paying an average of $10.13 per hour. The national minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, but many would like to see the rate more than doubled. ....
