Pryor, now 26 and an aspiring doctor of audiology, knew she’d had too much Bacardi to be driving home in the early morning of April 12, 2015. Newman’s actions in the case of James Franklin Sapp and a charge that he pursued a “vindictive prosecution” in a separate case are the subject of a hearing in Henderson County Superior Court on Monday to decide whether the district attorney is removed from office.
