David Kemp, who compiled the results of the wide-ranging poll.
“Taking the results together suggests that people feel empathy for those who wish to immigrate to a new country to seek better opportunities, but they may not be comfortable with many people doing it all at once,” they said.
The Cato Institute 2021 Immigration and Identity National survey of 2,600 U.S. adults was conducted March 5-15 and released Wednesday. ....

Ted Cruz sparked a backlash with his “out of touch” tweet about Black History Month.
The Texas senator accused the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Turner Network Television (TNT) of “obvious bias” against Republicans for honouring Black Democrats as part of a Black History Month segment.
He went on to question why Barack Obama, Kamala Harris and Stacey Abrams were pictured on screen but not Black Republicans like Tim Scott or Condi Rice.
