Tesla 2021 Model Y Passes NHTSA Safety Rating with 5-Stars in Crash Test!

Tesla Model Y recently passed the NHTSA Safety Rating with flying colors and a whole lot of stars, five to be exact, with the latest release variant of the car this 2021. The Model Y is the latest addition to the lineup of Tesla, taking on the compact SUV's namesake, having a refreshed version for this year, including a standard option for RWD, 7-seater, and cheaper price.

Tesla debuted its latest creation, the Model Y, at an event in Los Angeles this week. The new all-electric SUV is capable of reaching 300 miles on a single charge.

Tesla recently unveiled its compact crossover electric SUV Model Y, with its 2021 refresh that features a new seating option with the third-row seats, but pictures revealed that there is almost minimal to no legroom. Indeed, the Model Y is a compact vehicle that initially looks like a sedan rather than an SUV, but hats off to Tesla for trying to incorporate seven seats in this budget vehicle.

The second smallest electric vehicle in Tesla's lineup, the Model Y (next to the Tesla Model for kids), is the earliest drop of the EV manufacturing company for 2021 and initial photos reveal a let down for a huge family car.

Apparently, the Model Y will only roll out in new markets once the vehicle is being manufactured there, instead of being exported from Tesla’s Freemont facility across the world.
The American EV maker currently has manufacturing facilities for the Model Y in California and Texas for the U.S. market, Berlin for Europe and Shanghai for China, but deliveries haven’t yet started almst two years after the model was unveiled.
This rather long gestation period might have been just enough for Mercedes-Benz to heavily advance the development of its first-ever compact electric SUV, the EQB, despite the international health crisis.
