The grand finale of Melodifestivalen marked the last of the televised Eurovision selection shows; drawing a big sparkly curtain across the Contest’s “national final season”. In a hotly contested year, Tusse came out on top with the track Voices and will now represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. The winning song was written by Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Jimmy ”Joker” Thörnfeldt and Anderz Wrethov.

Tonight’s show will be hosted in the capital city Stockholm, hosted by the event’s producer Christer Björkman, the Eurovision 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw and the Iranian-Swedish actress and singer Shima Niavarani. 12 acts will take to the stage; 8 of these entries qualified from the 4 semi-final evenings while the rest 4 were the winners of the Andra Chansen round, which took place last Saturday.
