I have always been a fan of Police drama s and movies. there sure have been plenty of them over the years. There was one on CBS that I loved simply called Cold Case. I guess I like them because it is real life drama, and it is always interesting to see justice served, and how they actually solve the crime. The stories behind the cases are always full of drama.

Maybe there should be a new TV drama here in the Lansing area, according to foxnews47.com. Lansing police have around 85 cold cases. From what I read, and learned over the years cold cases get harder to solve as time passes.  Lansing has a fine Police department, and they say an investigator is working on every case. So far it  hasn’t been easy finding new leads. ....

Lansing police identify man, woman killed in weekend homicide
Police found Kelsey Cross Coon-Lennon, 29, and Harley Thomas Owens, 39, dead in a residence in the 600 block of Baker Street at about 2 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Lansing Police Department. 
Public Information Director Robert Merritt said he was unsure of what relationship, if any, the two had. Both are from Lansing. 
No arrests had been made as of Monday morning and the investigation is ongoing. 
Police responded to the Baker Street home on a report of a shooting, according to a news release. 
“This is truly a tragedy, said Lansing Police Chief Daryl Green in the release. LPD will leverage every resource and partnership it has to hold accountable any persons involved, as a community we owe this to the victims and their families. ....

Man, woman shot to death at Lansing home

LANSING, MI – Police have released the identities of a man and woman who were shot to death over the weekend at a home in Lansing, The Associated Press reports.
The bodies of Harley Owens, 39, and Kelsey Coon-Lennon, 29, were found around 2 a.m. Saturday, May 1, when authorities responded to reports of gunshots, AP reports. The shooting happened at a home in the 600 block of Baker Street in Lansing, FOX 47 reports.
Both victims lived in Lansing, AP reports.
No arrests have been made, according to reports. Police have not released any information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting. ....

LANSING  The Lansing Police Department and Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin, D-Holly, are asking for federal funds to create a crisis assessment team to address social problems, according to a news release from the city. 
LPD s proposal would expand efforts to address problems such as mental illness, substance abuse, housing insecurity, trauma and health inequities, according to a news release from the city. 
The Lansing Crisis Assessment Team is a mobile response team that would engage in proactive and reactive joint responses, divert police calls for services, and provide referrals to people in crisis to community providers, according to a news release.  ....
