WASHINGTON: Northrop Grumman has nabbed its first contract under DARPA’s high-profile Blackjack program demonstrating military uses for small, cheap, low-orbiting satellites with an award to develop alternate capabilities when GPS signals are jammed or degraded.

Pamela Melroy nominated for Deputy Administrator at NASA by Biden

Pamela Melroy, a 1979 Bishop Kearney High School graduate who became the third woman to pilot a space shuttle mission and the second to command one, has been nominated by President Joe Biden to help lead NASA.
Two months after taking office, Biden nominated Sen. Bill Nelson to head up the space agency. On Friday, he put forward retired astronaut Melroy for the No. 2 spot.

Washington DC [US], April 17 (ANI): US PresidentJoe Biden is set to nominate eight leaders to key administration posts, including former space shuttle commander Pamela Melroy for the post of Deputy Administrator in NASA, the White House statement said on Friday.
Melroy, a retired US Air Force test pilot, is an aerospace executive with government and industry experience across civil, commercial, and national security space.
