Soil and groundwater were previously found to have petroleum contamination, according to MassDEP, which prompted a Notice of Activity and Use Limitation first recorded to the registry of deeds in June 2002. The notice requires the pavement be maintained. The cracked pavement, which was discovered during an October 2019 inspection, has since been repaired.
