Second phase of Nano Covax human trials set for completion on Apr.8
Vietnam is scheduled to finalize the second phase of human trials for NanoCovax, a local-produced novel coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine, on April 8.
According to Chu Van Men, director of the Military Medical University’s Centre for Clinical Trials and Bioequivalence, the majority of vaccinated individuals during the second-stage of human trials, remain in a stable condition . Only a few of those who received the jab recorded a mild pain around the injection site, whilst some had a fever which disappeared after only one or two days.

HCMC targets lower investments in IPs this year

With concerns over land shortage and the unpredictable Covid-19 situation, the HCMC Export Processing and Industrial Zone Authority (HEPZA) has set this year’s investment attraction target US$200 million lower than last year.
According to a HEPZA representative, fresh and additional capital registered at the city s industrial parks and export processing zones exceeded US$760 million last year, up 52% against the 2020 target and 17% against 2019.
Thu Duc City to commence operations in a day

Thu Duc will kick off its administrative apparatus Friday to officially operate as a city within HCMC.
A meeting on Friday will elect personnel for Thu Duc City’s legislative arm, or People’s Council, and its executive unit, People’s Committee, according to Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Home Affairs.
Thu Duc City came to life on Dec. 9 after the National Assembly greenlighted its establishment as a city within a city in HCMC.
Netherlands promises to help Thu Duc City handle urban flooding

The Dutch government will support HCMC and its newly created Thu Duc City with urban development, including flood mitigation.
At a meeting with Dutch diplomats in Vietnam, deputy chairman of Ho Chi Minh City, Le Hoa Binh, said he hoped the Netherlands will help Thu Duc City deal with urban flooding and make it a new city that is sustainable and adapts well to climate change.
