Puzzle Piece Foundation holding 7th annual "Color Me Blue" 5K Walk/Run in Brasher Falls

BRASHER FALLS — The Puzzle Piece Foundation will be holding the 7th annual "Color Me Blue" 5K Walk/Run.
All proceeds will benefit The Puzzle Piece Foundation.
The race will be held on July 24 at 9 a.m. starting from the Tri-Town Arena, 746 State Highway 11C.
The cost is $20 per adult and $10 per child. All who pre-registered are guaranteed a t-shirt.
There will be an optional route for those who do not want to be sprayed with color. Walk-ins are welcome and should wear a white t-shirt. Participants are encourage to wear sunglasses.

St. Lawrence Musky Shop on Akwesasne gives $868 to Puzzle Piece Foundation

AKWESASNE — The St. Lawrence Musky Shop on Akwesasne recently made a donation to The Puzzle Piece Foundation in the amount of $868.
Money was raised for The Puzzle Piece Foundation during a holiday Musky tackle raffle which raffled off more than $1000 worth of tackle. The raffle is planned to be held as a yearly event.
The Puzzle Piece Foundation supports teachers and those who provide services directly to students on the autism spectrum. The Puzzle Piece Foundation plans to hold their annual "Color Me Blue" 5k Walk/Run on July 24, at 9 a.m.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. – A man accused of using a fake nonprofit to defraud people in several states was arrested in Oregon last week.
Tyrone Powell, 40, was arrested when Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies served search warrants in Elkton and Cottage Grove on Feb. 26 following a five-month investigation.
Powell reportedly scammed an elderly victim in Elkton out of 30.8 acres and a shop using the guise of a nonprofit called the Impossible Roads Foundation, which claimed to be building tiny homes for disabled veterans. Deputies said Powell assumed the property as his own after the transaction.
