The South Sudanese Community of Massachusetts will gather (virtually) with its friends and neighbors to celebrate 21 years of life in the U.S. on April 22. The celebration will include stories from members of the community, a keynote address by Ellen Barry, the New England Bureau Chief of the New York Times, who was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist for her series of articles on the Lost Boys ; a tribute from Tom Brokaw, special correspondent for NBC News, who won a National Press Club Award for his reporting on the Lost Boys ; and the honoring of Melissa MacDonnell, president of Liberty Mutual Foundation. ....

On April 22, the South Sudanese community of Massachusetts will gather virtually with its friends and neighbors to celebrate 21 years of life in the United States.
The celebration, which is being organized by Lincoln-based South Sudanese Enrichment for Families, will include stories from members of the community, a keynote address by Ellen Barry, New England bureau chief of the New York Times and a Pulitzer Prize finalist for her series of articles on the “Lost Boys,” a tribute from Tom Brokaw, special correspondent for NBC News and winner of a National Press Club Award for his reporting on the “Lost Boys,” and the honoring of Melissa MacDonnell, president of Liberty Mutual Foundation. ....
