It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Migay on July 4, 2021 at home with family by her side. Born in Geraldton Ontario to Slovak immigrants, at the age of two her family moved to a farm in Thunder Bay, where she resided the majority of her life. Mary embarked on her education at John Street School, culminating in her BA and teaching degree. She began her career as a teacher and eventually became the Director of Physical Education at the Lakehead Catholic School Board, a position she left to raise her children. She returned to teach ESL once they had grown.
