Urban League Guild teams up with Cleveland McDonalds owners for month-long book giveaway

On Saturdays, families purchasing Kids Meals will receive free children s books at select McDonalds restaurants

CLEVELAND The Urban League Guild of Greater Cleveland kicked off a month-long initiative to make sure local children have enough books to read.
The Guild partnered with the McDonalds at East 55th Street and Superior to provide each family ordering Kids Meals with free books for their children.
Every Saturday in April, in partnership with McDonalds owners Geoffrey and Peaches Ledwidge, the Guild will give away books at different locations and engage parents in conversations about reading and literacy. ....

This year has seen the deaths of legends and loved ones alike. Many across the country, and close to home, were claimed by COVID-19, while others succumbed to the ravages of illness or time. Others were children who barely had time to make their marks in this world.
