Mull was in Northampton County Prison in late 2018 when he starting using a tablet rented from the prison to prostitute a 27-year-old woman, prosecutors said. The money went toward Mull’s prison commissary account. On Tuesday, following a bench trial before Judge Samuel Murray, the 33-year-old Mull was found guilty of promoting prostitution. Mull’s sentencing is set for May 13, time that will be added to the 75 years to life he is serving in the rape and sexual assault cases where he was convicted in December 2018. ....
‘It’s about time’: Lehigh Valley jails to start vaccinating inmates against COVID Updated May 04, 2021; Northampton County Prison and Lehigh County Jail will start vaccinating inmates later this month against COVID-19. Prime Care Medical, the healthcare provider at both facilities, plans to hold a vaccine clinic for inmates and prison staff on May 12 in Northampton and May 14 in Lehigh, the counties announced Tuesday. The state Department of Health will deliver either the Moderna or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and Prime Care Medical staff will administer the shots. Use of the Johnson & Johnson shot was paused following six cases of a rare and severe type of blood clot in individuals, but that was lifted April 23 by the FDA and CDC following a safety review. ....

Man swinging stick with nails strikes woman in face in Easton, police say Updated Apr 28, 2021; A 34-year-old Easton man swinging a stick with nails following a family dispute Tuesday evening struck a woman in the face, city police report in court papers. The victim suffered a laceration to the left side of her face and severe swelling in the attack about 6:55 p.m., police said. She required medical care and an ambulance was dispatched to the 500 block of West Berwick Street, police said. Police found Kareem Saquan Dario in his home on that block and arrested him, court papers say. ....
