Country music star T.J. Osborne revealed in a Time magazine interview on Wednesday that he is gay.
The 36-year-old vocalist for Brothers Osborne, a duo he started with his brother, John, said he is very comfortable being gay, adding, however: I find myself being guarded for not wanting to talk about something that I personally don t have a problem with. That feels so strange.
He worried that his coming out would seem opportunistic or attention-seeking, according to Time. People will ask, Why does this even need to be talked about? and personally, I agree with that, he said. But for me to show up at an awards show with a man would be jaw-dropping to people. It wouldn t be like, Oh, cool! ....

Charley Pride: Tributes to country star who braved Troubles

A concert promoter has revealed how Charley Pride s appearance in Belfast at the height of the Troubles probably saved his company.
The country and western star, who toured Northern Ireland at a time when few artists would come, passed away on Saturday at his home in Dallas at 86 from coronavirus complications.
His impact stretched across the Atlantic and he developed a strong legion of fans here, many who attended his show in Belfast s Ritz Cinema in November 1976.
Originally due to perform a 40-date tour of Britain, late Belfast concert promotor Jim Aiken flew to the US to persuade the singer to brave the Troubles and extend it across the Irish Sea at a time when most musicians and sports teams avoided the region. ....
